In order to solve the problem caused by industry-academia gap and to redirect the R&D results to help the various industies, the government has proposed different guidelines and regulations. By applying entrepreneurial ecosystem perspectives, this research uses case study to explores and extracts the key elements that are essential for academic spin-off venture. The research results show that, the university establishes an entrepreneurial ecosystem through diversified actions to help the growth and development of the spin-off venture. However, the key elements found from the case study, such as entrepreneurial motivation, technology, and resources, are different from the entrepreneurial ecosystem established by the university. Finally, the author provides conclusions, discussions, theoretical contributions and practical implications of this study.
