利用紅外線頭部偵測增強虛擬實境立體效果之研究

摘要


現今科技發展卓越,從一開始的錄像影片到2D影片再進步到裸視3D遊戲,人們對於視覺表現的要求越來越高,而近期的一項代表產品為任天堂公司所推出的N3DS遊戲,搭配了裸視 3D後,讓玩家在遊戲中更身歷其境,效果卓越,但在遊戲中,當使用者改變觀看視角時,畫面無法配合使用者改變,使得遊戲中虛擬實境真實度不足。 為了加強虛擬實境真實度,本研究依據學者 (J. C. Lee) 於2008年所發表的利用Wii Remote紅外線頭部追蹤應用於虛擬實境,在Flash中實作相同效果後,再加入本研究的空間校正技術、以及Wii Remote內建水平儀,使偵測準確度提高並加入立體視覺效果來提升真實感。 經由實驗測試與評估後,發現加入本研究所提之偵測技術,不但能讓使用者自由調整偵測角度後,仍然保持準確率,在使用者與螢幕近距離時也能夠降低追蹤誤差。在視覺體驗上加入了立體視覺,使視覺效果及立體真實感有所提升。

The 3-D video development of technology is growing rapidly in nowadays. At first from video recording then it goes into the 2D video. But right now it is entering the naked-eye stereoscopic display in 3D video game. People are pursuing a more realistic in a virtual world, for instance, the recent new representative product is N3DS from Nintendo. Players could experience more realistic in the game world by using naked-eye stereoscopic display. But in the game world when a player changed look angle of view, distortion will happened. If distortion could not be adjust, the visualization of video game will be less realistic. Our approach is to improve the realism in virtual worlds, and according to the researcher J. C. Lee published a study in 2008, Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the Wii Remote. We implemented the same effect of J. C. Lee's method in Flash. And then add space correction technology of our research, as well as the Wii Remote gradienter. That will be raising the tracking precision and proofread stereo to promote realistic. Through experimental testing and evaluating, we discovered that allowed the user adjusting freely by adding our tracking techniques and still maintain same accuracy in the tracking angle. The user is close to screen, our tracking techniques also reduced the tracking inaccuracy as well. Adding stereoscopic in visual experience improves visual effects and three-dimensional realism.
