電子書的雛型概念於1968年即由全錄公司Alan Kay提出,至今已四十餘年,隨著科技日益進步,電子書所提供的功能亦愈趨多元,然而電子書卻未能因此而被普遍使用,業者應了解消費者對使用電子書的因素為何,以此並設計符合使用者需求之產品,從而提升電子書之市場普及率。本研究目的為探討影響電子書使用因素與使用意願間之影響情形、行為變數與人口統計變項對影響電子書使用因素與使用意願之差異情形,期能探討影響消費者選擇電子書時之重要因素,以作為未來出版業者拓展電子書市場之重要參考依據。 本研究使用因素分析萃取出「執行便利」、「使用便利」、「時間便利」及「使用意願」四個研究變項,經由結構方程模型探討各研究變項間之影響關係,再進一步使用獨立樣本t檢定與變異數分析來探討行為變數與人口統計變數對各研究變項間之差異情形,總共使用548份有效問卷進行統計分析,其研究結果如下: 一、時間便利、執行便利與使用便利對電子書之使用意願皆達到正向顯著影響。 二、行為變數中不同「電腦使用經驗」對各研究變數皆有顯著差異;不同「每天上網時間」、「每月看書頻率」、「每天閱讀長度」與「購買電子書經驗」對部分研究變項達到顯著差異。 三、人口統計變數中不同「職業」、「可支配所得」、「購書預算」與「居住地」對各研究變數皆達到顯著差異;不同「性別」、「年齡」、「教育程度」對部分研究變項有顯著差異。 關鍵詞:電子書、結構方程模型、便利性、使用意願
The preliminary concept of E-book was proposed by Alan Kay, Xerox Corporation, traced back in 1968, and it’s been over 40 years till today. The functionality offered by E-book is also getting richer and more diverse as the continuing progress in information technology. Yet somehow, it’s just not being widely used. Those E-book manufacturers must be fully aware of the factors that attract consumers to use such kind of device, and take those factors into account during the design, then come out products that can satisfy requirements of consumers. And hence to increase its popularity and market share. The intention of this study is to investigate how the affecting E-book usage factors link and influence over the usage intention, how the variances are that the behavior variables and demographic variables affect the E-book usage factors and usage intention. And to anticipate exploring those crucial factors that will be affecting consumers’ choices on E-book. Also providing it to publishers as important references for their future development in E-book market. This study applies Factor Analysis Approach to separate out 4 main researching factors, it includes: execution convenience, operation convenience, time convenience and usage intention. And to study the interaction among those researching factors through Structural Equation Modeling. Furthermore, utilizing Independent Samples T-test and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to investigate the variances of each researching factors versus behavior variables and demographic variables. There are totally 548 valid questionnaires conducted for statistical analysis, and the results are as follows: 1. Factors of time convenience, execution convenience and operation convenience cause significantly positive effects on the E-book usage intention. 2. Among behavior variables, different experience of operating computer affects each of the researching factors significantly. And different daily online duration, monthly reading frequency, daily reading length, and experience of purchasing E-book affects part of the researching factors significantly. 3. Among demographic variables, different occupation, disposable income, budge for book purchase and habitation affects each of the researching factors significantly.
