教育部近年積極鼓勵大專校院發展學校網站特色、充實網站內容,提倡校園資訊公開及資源分享,藉由網際網路的傳播功能,提昇我國大學網站的國際能見度。加上數位典藏與數位學習國家型科技計畫的推動,數位典藏的觀念也逐漸在各大專院校間蔓延開來。 隨著數位攝影及網頁技術的進步,國內90%以上的設計科系已在網站上收藏學生的得獎作品及畢業專題,初具數位典藏之雛型,但這些典藏作品未有固定後設資料(Metadata)規範、在介面操作上亦多有不便。縱觀國內設計科系數位典藏內容大抵不離產學合作、得獎作品、學習成果、展覽作品、畢業專題等範圍。 本專案擬以商業設計為建立數位典藏個案,針對前項缺點作改善,另為配合全校網站的改善,共享學生設計作品資訊,與臺中技術學院網站併置同一系統,避免重複上傳的行政資源浪費。 因此,本專案企圖對作品建構固定後設資料規範,藉由內容分析國內外設計科系及該系歷年數位典藏情況建構基本架構,並採用使用性測驗,邀請六名受測者採用出聲思考法(thinking aloud)實際測試建置網站,發現六項使用性問題,經專案團隊討論後改善三首要問題,期望利用本網站提供的上傳機制,養成該系定期上傳分享學生設計作品的傳統,在文獻與圖像上等各類型資源之長久累積,讓本網站得以永續經營,最後匯集本專案執行期間遭遇困難及相關建議,提供該系網站維護者參考。
Ministry of Education has encouraged colleges as well as universities to develop school websites, be substantial in the contents of websites, make public the school information, and share the resources. With the spread of Internet, it can promote the international visibility of our college websites. Also, because of the promotion of Taiwan e-Learning and Digital Archives Program, the concept of digital archive has spread out among colleges. As the digital photographing and website designing improves, more than 90 percent of designing departments have collected students’ works that won prizes onto their websites, which is the initial type of digital archive. But these archives don’t have the standards of Metadata and are inconv nient to operate on interfaces. If you make a comprehensive survey of the digital archives of designing departments, you will find it no more than cooperation with industry-university cooperation, works that wins prizes, learning achievements, exhibition of works, designed topics of graduate works. This project intends to improve the shortcomings of digital archives of commercial design. Besides, it has been combined into National Taichung Institute of Technology’s websites to share the information of students’ works, so the waste of repeated uploading can be avoided. Therefore, this project intends to set the standards of Metadata. By analyzing the basic structure of national and international departments of design as well as the digital archives and using usability testing, we invited 6 experimental subjects to adopt“thinking aloud” into the actual testing of building up a website and found 6 technical problems. Three major problems have been solved after the discussion of our professional team; we expect to take advantage of the uploading system in the website to cultivate the tradition of uploading students’ works of the department into the website. With the accumulation of the document and image sorts of resources, the website can last for long. At last, we should collect the difficulties that occur while putting this project into practice and advices; offer them to the website master of the department for references.
