摘要

本研究在探討五十年來《皇冠》雜誌封面設計，首要針對設計構成要素中插圖、文字、色彩、編排進行分析。並在藝術社會學理論與歷史比較研究法下，以時代環境包括政治、經濟、文學、美術、設計、雜誌屬性、發行人理念與創作者等進行檢驗，以發現封面設計美感之外的意涵，增進對作品的理解。經研究後發現，設計構成要素中「插圖」題材包括女性形象、花卉、靜物、景觀、生態等為主，因未涉及政治意識、宗教信仰等議題，為傳遞美的形象與意涵的表現；「文字」中「刊名標題」以明體字為架構，後來以“明體右斜”修正，成為固定的字型；「色彩」中「基礎用色」以“紅色”的使用最頻繁，「色彩配置」以“對比配色”最多；「編排」中「基本版形」更換頻率高，依序以大底圖搭配刊名、矩形、圓形等分割形式作為變化者多，「造形及構成」包括了對比、統一與非對稱平衡等形式。時代環境對封面設計的影響，以設計創作者的影響最大，美術、設計、文學環境與雜誌經營、屬性與發行人的影響次之，政治、經濟、流行及娛樂文化的影響又次之；其中「插圖」的題材與時代環境最具關連，是促成風格形式表現的重要關鍵，其影響封面的因素多是間接而非直接的，也並非刻意或單一的介入；而封面對環境是有所影響但並不是短時間就可看出的，象徵時代環境和封面設計間之互動關係是複雜的。

[Abstract]
Probe into the cover designs of magazine of " Crown " over the past 50 years , analyses primarily to the illustration , characters , color while the design forming element , studying in this research. And relatively study under the law of Sociology of Art and historical comparative method, environment including politics , economy , literature , fine arts , design , magazine attribute , publisher's idea and creator etc. are examined in era, in order to find the meaning outside the aesthetic feeling of the design of cover design , promote the understanding to the works. Find after studying, its design element ' illustration ' subject matter include women image , flowers , still life , scene , ecology , etc. for main fact to design, because has not involved the topics , such as political consciousness , religious belief ,etc. , in order to transmit the beautiful image and meaning; ' the title of publication ' is the minestye character as the structure , revised with " the minestye character was oblique in right " as the regular style of character ; ' the color ' of ' foundation color ' is frequently used with " red ", ' color dispose ' with it " is it match colors to compare with " to be most large; ' the layout of basic edition of shape was ' changes frequently and match title of the publication with big background picture then cut apart into, rectangle , round , ' the shaping form ' is include contrast, unite and asymmetrical balance ,etc. The influence environment on design of cover designs, the most influential for what has been designed to the creator, the influence of managing in fine arts , design , literature environment and magazine's management and attribute and publisher second place, the influence of politics , economy , fashion and amusement culture takes second place again. Among them close connecting with most in subject matter and era environment of ' the illustration ', it is the important key of facilitating the style form to display , its factor influencing cover design is mostly indirect but not direct , the involvement not painstaking or single either; Cover designs to it influences to be but what short time can be found out to some extent to environment, the environment and interdynamic relation of one of design of cover designs are complicated to symbolize era.
