Due to the difficulty of purchasing a customized phone shell for a sub-mainstream phones, this study proposes a cloud-based application service to solve the problem by leveraging the popular 3D printing technology. The phone-shell cloud libraries are created and uploaded by the designers to provide their own design ideas directly to sell to the potential customers. This may create a new profitable business model. The cloud service system proposed in this study combines 3D printing and 3D scanning technology to create cloud platform for designers to combine 3D creative model to phone back cover. The design principles are to let the customers completing the selection of required phone shells without complicated technical operations. Furthermore,Technology Acceptance model (TAM) were adopted for the user acceptance analysis to understand if the users and the vendors are highly motivated to accept innovation patterns in technology.
