Manufacturing of kitchen board in today’s market is very competitive, In order to remain competitive, businesses invest more resources but waste is more and more, This study takes the case company as an example; and uses lean production and value stream mapping to find out production problems, Based on the case company's culture and institutions, this research then develops methods and strategies for continuous improvement through 5S methodology, Toyota Production System (TPS) concepts, and PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act). After the implementation of lean production, the fruitful results are obtained in the elimination of waste, inventory reduction, improving of profitability and changeover times. It shows that lean production system can be successfully applied not only in the automotive industry, but also in kitchen board processing.
