本研究旨在探討高中職餐飲科教師人格特質對工作滿意度及組織承諾之影響,及瞭解不同背景變項之高中職餐飲科教師人格特質之差異情形,以作為學校聘任教師之參考。研究對象為99學年度第二學期任職於中部地區公私立高中職餐飲科教師,採立意取樣方式,以自編之「中等學校餐飲科教師人格特質、工作滿意度與組織承諾問卷」為資料收集工具,共發出252份問卷,回收233份,有效回收率為92.4%。所得資料經描述性統計、獨立樣本t檢定、單因子變異數分析及多元迴歸分析進行研究目的之驗證,得結果如下: 一、中部地區高中職餐飲科教師之人格特質對工作滿意度與組織承諾具有顯著的影響力。 二、工作滿意度對組織承諾具有顯著影響力。 三、人格特質會因教師之背景變項不同而呈現差異。 研究發現41歲以上的男性教師具有較低之「情緒敏感性」及較高之「外傾支配性」人格特質,且41歲以上教師亦具有較高之「勤勉正直性」人格特質。根據研究結果與發現,提出相關建議以提供學校及相關單位作為改善校務政策及教師甄試之參考依據。
Abstract The purposes of this study are to research into the influence of the personality traits of the teachers at the Department of Restaurant Management of the senior high and vocational high schools on their job satisfaction and organization commitment and to find out the difference in the personality traits among the aforementioned teachers with different background variables so as to provide related information for the schools in regard to teachers’ employment. The teachers involved in this study were selected among those at the Department of Restaurant Management in the public/private senior high and vocational high schools in central Taiwan, teaching the students for the second semester, 2010 school year, via the method of purposive sampling. The tool used for collecting the information is such “Questionnaire of the personality traits, job satisfaction and organization commitment of the teachers at the Department of Restaurant Management of the secondary schools” as self-made by the author. Total 252 questionnaires were used and 233 returned, approximate to 92.4% effective return ratio. The acquired data were proceeded under descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis in order to attest the purposes of this study. The findings are revealed as follows: 1. For the teachers at the Department of Restaurant Management in the senior high and vocational high schools in central Taiwan, their personality traits have remarkable influence on their job satisfaction and organization commitment. 2. Job satisfaction has outstanding effect on the organization commitment. 3. The teachers with different background variables have different personality traits. This study reveals that the 41-year and elder male teachers have the personality traits of less “emotional sensitivity” and higher “extraversion” as well as higher “conscientiousness”. Based on the results and findings of this study, related proposals are presented to the schools and relative agencies for their reference with respect to improvement in the campus affair policies and teacher examination.
