高靈敏度表面電漿共振式光纖感測器之研究

摘要


表面電漿共振被廣泛的應用在化學及生物的特性和分子量級的交互作用測量上。傳統的表面電漿共振感測技術擁有高的靈敏度、動態變化的即時測量、以及在生物感測上無須標地等優點。光纖本身擁有體積小、成本低、並且和表面電漿共振理論相同架構。我們提出一個新的表面電漿共振式光纖感測器,其擁有更多優點在於可拋棄式、可攜帶式、不受光源影響、並且可以使用鹵素燈的白光光源感測。此光纖感測器用傳統的測量方式可以達到 3×10-6RIUs的高靈敏度,用我們所提出的交叉點測量法可以提高靈敏度達 5.7×10-7RIUs。本篇論文的討論如下: 1.表面電漿共振式的溫控單模光纖之研究。在水平拋光的光纖濺鍍上金薄膜可以有效激發表面電漿共振反應,且擁有重覆性跟穩定性的雷射光穿透訊號,單模光纖可以驗證兩種表面電漿共振反應,波長改變跟強度改變,兩種測量方式分別可達1.12×10^-5RIUs和6.6×10^-4RIUs的靈敏度。 2.表面電漿共振式平拋多模光纖用以鹵素燈光源之研究。在光纖內部的多種模態在穿透光強度給予穩定的表面電漿共振訊號,並且可以降低溫度環境影響,但是在不同外在折射率改面下有明顯變化反應。靈敏度可達 4.5×10^-6RIUs。 3.交叉點分析法用在表面電漿共振式平拋的多模光纖之研究。兩個對應不同折射率的表面電漿共振訊號,在光譜分析儀器上同時顯示,兩條曲線在光譜分析儀上出現交叉點。此交叉點對應的波長隨著不同外界折射率而變化,用此分析法可以提高靈敏度達5.7×10^-7RIUs。

Surface plasmon resonance is widely applied in the biological and chemical sensing for characterizing and quantifying biomolecular interactions. The traditional advantages of SPR detective method have high sensitive response, kinetic study in real-time, and label-free for biological sensing. Optical fiber sensor has the characteristics of small, low cost, and the same scheme on SPR. The novel SPR sensing device with more advantages that we proposed can disposability, portability, reducing the light source variation, and observed in OSA by halogens white light source. Our fiber sensor can achieve the sensitivity of 3×10^-6 RIUs by traditional SPR detective method and can enhance the sensitivity to 5.7×10^-7 RIUs by cross-point method. The thesis contains the following studies: 1.The singe mode fiber sensor with temperature controller is presented. A side-polished fiber sensor with deposited gold thin film can excited the SPR response repeatability and stability. It show the SPR characteristics of wavelength interrogation with sensitivity of 1.12×10^-5 RIUs and intensity measurement with sensitivity of 6.6×10^-4 RIUs. 2.The side-polished multimode fiber sensor with halogens white light source is presented. The multiple modes in optical fiber provide the stable SPR signal in transmitted intensity. It can reduce the temperature effect and has transmitted variations obviously with a series of refractive indices. The sensitivity of side-polished multimode fiber sensor is 4.5×10^-6 RIUs. 3.Cross-point analysis for multimode fiber sensor based on surface plasmon resonance with halogens light source is presented. Two SPR curves obtained from two different refractive index measurements, a cross-point on the two SPR spectra is observed through the optical spectrum analyzer. The sensitivity of the wavelength shift of CP depending on the refractive index can reach 5.7 × 10^-7 RIUs.
