本研究透過前測問卷與使用者訪談的過程發現目前的傢俱組裝說明書有許多問題;像是紙本說明書在圖案及文字的呈現容易因資訊過於繁雜或語意不清導致使用者產生誤解,或是在透視圖的表現上忽略了零件的細節導致使用者誤會。從1960年代發展至今,擴增實境技術的崛起讓使用者可以更直覺的與商品做互動並了解到許多以往無法得到的資訊。有鑑於此,本研究希望將擴增實境互動性佳、可呈現多媒體資訊以及可以軟體形式呈現的優點應用到傢俱組裝說明書上,以解決目前說明書產生的問題。 研究主要分為三階段:首先是調查擴增實境資料以及目前相關應用案例;第二是設計出兩款初步系統─動畫型態及互動型態,讓受測者進行傢俱組裝並選出一款作為之後發展方向;第三階段是使用完成之系統與說明書進行傢俱組裝實驗的比較,並將最後所得到的問卷數據、記錄的組裝時間以及受測者的相關建議做出分析與整理,以證明行動擴增實境運用於傢俱組裝方面的優點以及未來可以改進的方向。 最後研究實驗結果顯示,由於擴增實境與使用者間具備互動性佳、自由性高等優點,因此在使用說明書及使用系統進行組裝的實驗結果中,受測者使用本系統進行傢俱組裝無論在與傢俱的互動性、組裝過程的順暢度、組裝的正確性以及組裝時間等方面,其數據及問卷結果都顯示使用本系統比使用傳統說明書來的良好。受測者更表示比起傳統傢俱組裝說明書,應用擴增實境的傢俱組裝系統讓使用者更清楚的了解傢俱資訊及組裝步驟、組裝過程也變得比傳統說明書更有趣,搭配上語音提示、多媒體組裝動畫以及零件組裝位置圖,可有效提升使用者的組裝意願及組裝正確度。
Previous research has shown specific problems in the user manuals; problems in the manual sucha as graphics, wording and perspective viewing are found to be easily misunderstood by the users. Since the 1960s, development of augmented reality technology has allowed users to intuitively interact with new products which allows for more user understanding of product knowledge than before. In light of this, our research hopes to expand reality augmentation of user experiences by integrating multimedia and softwares on furniture user manuals. The reaseach was divided into 3 phases: first is to find precident data that deals with reality augmentation; second is to design 2 systems - animations system and interactive system, our participants will then determine the most user friendly system; the last phase is to test our multimedia system against traditional user manual, using furniture assembly time as the end point measure to test our multimedia system hypothesis. The final experimental data show that due to the participant's increased freedom and interaction with our multimedia manual, the user experience was improved while the assembly time and usual problems that arise during assembly was minimized. Our data from the questionnaire result show significant improvement compared with the traditional user manual. Participants express that augmenting reality furniture assembly system allows users to grasp the product details and assembly steps faster and more interesting. Our experiment also show with voice prompt, multimedia animation and parts assembly location visuals may efficiently improve assembly intend and accuracy.
