The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact and effectiveness of table games toward lower-grade pupil’s learning achievement in mathematical calculation, and their learning interest in mathematics when integrated into mathematics lessons at elementary school. The study was made in the way of pre-experimental design. A total of 24 first-grade students from an elementary school in Taichung city were selected as the research subjects. The experiment was conducted for eight weeks (32 lessons) during which tabletop games were integrated into mathematics teaching. The research subjects were tested by mathematical addition and subtraction assessment paper before and after the experimental teaching to analyze their learning effect, and mathematics learning interest questionnaire was used to understand their interest in learning of mathematics. Finally, Wilcoxon rating test (a nonparametric test) and descriptive statistics were used to process the data. The results are as follows: 1. Integrating table games into mathematical teaching can improve the learning effect of grade-1 pupil’s mathematical computing ability. 2. In terms of the performance of integrating tabletop games into mathematical teaching, “affection” ranks the highest, followed by “cognition,” and “action performance” is slightly lower.
