As international joint ventures are currently threatened by a high failure rate, this study implemented exploratory analysis on the correlation between national cultural conflicts, corporate cultural conflicts, and performance of international joint ventures. Based on the review on domestic and international research results, this study systematically elaborated the connotation and formation mechanism of cross-cultural conflicts in international joint ventures, and the correlation between cross-cultural conflicts and performance. The research result shows that effective cross-cultural fusion is an importance prerequisite to the successful operation of international joint ventures, and the management of international joint ventures must define the cross-cultural management objective on a reasonable basis, consider the impact of cross-cultural conflicts in a dialectical view, deal with conflicts in different cultural aspects on their merits, take good advantage of the evolution law of cross-cultural conflicts, and grasp the best opportunities for resolving and utilizing of conflicts.
