特殊影像風格應用於3D動畫之研究創作

Creating Styles with Special Visual Effects Applied in Animation Productions

摘要


台灣動畫產業於近幾年來逐漸受到重視,促使台灣的動畫發展漸成氣候,本研究以3D軟體Maya進行動畫創作,故事發想是以宅男現象為構思,內容敘述一名少年足不出戶,日復一日在房內過著看漫畫、玩電腦、睡覺等等的重覆生活,直到一場夢境,才使少年提起勇氣到戶外去看看,作品名稱為《走出去》。而國內對於影像的視覺風格表現亦逐漸重視,例如,台灣具有相關代表性的金馬獎,便於1966年新增了最佳視覺特效的獎項,因此,本研究將以特殊影像風格應用於3D動畫創作的方面,做為探討方向,而本研究分析了5部國內4C數位創作競賽動畫類;得獎作品當中的影像風格表現,並套用了12項表現風格於本研究的動畫創作當中,並以個別訪談的方式,分別邀請5位相關領域人士,探討影像套用後之想法,而受訪者也提出了對於這些效果使用上的看法和建議,例如,單色色塊的風格可用於較單純活潑、適宜孩童觀看的動畫情境,污痕感及色彩淡化風格可用於回憶、復古、神秘或詭譎等較負面之情境,而紙上墨繪的風格可用於表現復古、中國傳統的表現,低彩度的微光暈迷濛風格可用於較迷糊、回憶、夢境等等的情境,負片風格可用於較負面、詭譎、怪異,或受到驚嚇、錯愕的情境。本研究結果或許可以提供給動畫創作者於創作時的參考依據,未來也建議相關研究者可以朝不同影像風格之間的互相搭配方面做為探討,或許可以為相關領域的發展,盡上一點心力。

Recently the public has paid much more attention to animation industry in Taiwan, which progressed faster than ever. This thesis focuses on creating a 3D animation by using Maya. The story is centered on an Otaku phenomenon. After an influential incident, this protagonist finally walks out from his indoors activities which repeatedly reading comic books, playing computer, sleeping. This created short animation is titled “Walk Out”. The visual styles aroused the attention of Gold Horse Award and added the “Best Visual Effect” in 1966. Therefore, this thesis explores the special visual styles used in 3D animation short film creation. Of which, the author analyzes the visual styles of 5 short animation productions in 4C Digital Animation Creation Contest. Applied 12 expressive styles in this animation creation, this short animation product is reviewed by 5 experts in the related fields to collect their opinions and suggestions. Their suggestions include monochrome color style should be used simple, vivid, appropriated situation for children; blotting and fading style can be used in reminisce, retro, mysterious, and treacherous negative scenes; ink painting on paper can express retro and Chinese tradition; low saturation and micro misty glow can be applied in vague, recalling, fantasy scenes; and negative style are more appropriate for negative, treacherous, weird, shocking, or surprising situations. The results of this study can provide animators with some references for their creative productions. The author recommends the future research can explore how to integrate different style and to be collocated with each other.
