In the knowledge economy age, knowledge is the real value of the enterprise. Most of the time, knowledge is hidden in the mindset of the people and is hard to disclose. When the tacit knowledge is gone with the left employees, it will cause the lost of the intellectual assets in the enterprise. The purpose of knowledge management in the enterprise is to convert the tacit knowledge of the employees into the explicit knowledge of the organization. "Community" is defined as a group organized by people. In the knowledge communities, it''s easy for the experts to share experiences and create knowledge. Therefore, the concept of knowledge community has become a good way to collect the tacit knowledge of the employees in the enterprise. Since the internet technology is growing fast, a web environment is employed to construct an operation platform for the knowledge community in this research. From the functional point of view, the flexibility, maintainability and sustainability are the major concerns of this research model. This research model is implemented in the information technology department of a military equipment plant to obtain the experimental results for performance analysis. The final results of this research could provide the people who want to construct a web knowledge community as a useful reference.
