現今的全球衛星定位系統(GPS)及GSM定位系統因遮蔽問題而不適合於室內,本論文主要探討利用無線區域網路進行室內定位與追蹤。當任何個人或移動物體配置訊號感測器時,我們能利用本套定位系統迅速得知其位置,所以必需用另一套更適合於室內定位的系統。我們主要是利用Ekahau定位軟體來進行Wi-Fi(802.11b)無線網路環境中的定位與追蹤,在一室內空間配置一匯接器(Hub)及數個AP (Access Point)來建置ㄧ個無線區域網路,在此環境中配置有接收器(Tag)的任何個人或移動物體均可由定位軟體進行位置追蹤,我們也將記錄位置追蹤的結果與實際位置的誤差。
The current Globe Position System (GPS) and GSM position tracking system is not suitable for indoor environment due to shadow problem. This study mainly investigates the position tracking within an indoor area by way of wireless local area network (WLAN). When any people or mobile objects equipped with a sensor, we can learn their positions by the system. We use the Ekahau software to carry out the position tracking. We install a hub and a number of access point in a room to establish an WLAN. In the room, any people or mobile objects with a Tag can be tracked by the software. We also record the resulting data and compare with the actual positions to check the system errors.
