The author in this short article named ”The development of local politics after the 2008 congressional and presidential election in Taiwan” tries to analyze the local faction or family-based political group in the local political system in Taiwan. Besides, the author tries to analyze whether ”the localized parliament” could happen to the local politics, especially to character the ”big towns vs. little counties” phenomenon in the congressional and presidential election. And finally, the author also tries to pick up some policy suggestions for the future local politics for Taiwan.
