Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is a rare tumour of the major and minor salivary glands, occurs in the fifth or sixth decade of life and there is no gender predominance. Tumor growth is slow but its clinical course is relentless and progressive. ACC is the propensity for perineural invasion and distant spread to the lungs and bones is frequent. Most of ACCs are treated surgically with addition of adjunctive radiotherapy. We reveal a case of ACC of the submandibular gland and report present illness, clinical exam, surgical therapy treatment and post-operation follow up in particulars.
