中西醫結合對腦膜瘤經外科手術與電腦刀治療併發顏面神經麻痺全療程研究

此為腦膜瘤經外科手術與電腦刀治療併發顏面神經麻痺，接受中醫治療之全療程研究。本病例腦膜瘤逐漸氣化、液化、吸收、縮小之時間為約9個月；其所遺留之空洞再填滿、縮小之時間約2年8個月。目前患者之腫瘤已全回收，無增生，殘留之空洞幾乎已無，其顏面神經症狀亦改善，兩眼外觀對稱，左眼無下垂感，左眼瞼活動更為自如，閉眼正常，開眼較困難，仍持續對因腦膜瘤造成之左提眼肌神經與動眼神經的傷害進行治療。中醫運用藥物及針灸治療腦膜瘤，可以同時處理、改善疾病的多樣面向，除可抑制腫瘤細胞新生，促進對腫瘤之液化吸收外，亦可修復受損之腦脊髓神經細胞，更可促進腦脊髓神經細胞新生等，改善神經症狀，中醫治療深具優勢，值得研究運用。

This paper presents the complete course of Chinese medicine treatment for a patient that incurred complications of secondary facial nerve palsy following decompression surgery and CyberKnife treatment. The gradual process of dissolution, shrinking, and absorption of the meningioma occurred about 9 months. The gradual regeneration of normal tissue in the space left behind following tumor shrinking and eventual resolution occurred about 2 years and 8 months. At present, the patient's tumor remains completely resolved and the regeneration of normal tissue now occupies almost the entire space left behind following resolution. The patient's facial nerve palsy symptoms have also improved, the strabismus has been corrected, the sagging feeling in the left eye has resolved, normal eyelid movement has been regained, and the patient can close the eyes normally but still has some difficulty opening the left eye. Chinese medicine medicinal formulas are still being administered to treat the residual damage to the left levator nerve and oculomotor nerve caused by the complications of the meningioma and its treatment. The administration of Chinese medicine medicinal formulas and acumoxatherapy provides an effective multifactor treatment for meningiomas. In addition to inhibiting tumor cell regeneration and promoting dissolution and absorption of tumors, these Chinese medicine therapeutic modalities can also repair damaged brain and spinal cord neurons and promote cerebral spinal nerve cell regeneration, which improves neurological symptoms. The results are clear that Chinese medicine treatment offers indisputable advantages and warrants further research and clinical application.
