摘要

目標：本文根據《靈樞．本神》之部分內容，探討外界刺激進入人體後，感官知覺、記憶系統、以及情緒產生的生理，並嘗試將現代醫學觀點與《黃帝內經》的論述進行整合，使中醫精神疾病相關領域的概念與理論能更趨完善。結果：《靈樞．本神》提出了精神作用由微細難知的「神」到清楚易見的「智」之間的作用流程，及中介狀態為「神→魂→魄→心→意→志→思→慮→智」，其中，「意、志」的成熟和訓練可使「魂、魄」更加完善。從《黃帝內經》的許多篇章論述到情志會造成五臟或氣機的變動，也會影響到神魂魄意志思慮智的運作，彼此相互關聯。現代醫學研究則證實免疫系統對大腦的認知功能和情緒調節具有一定的影響力，且注射治療血管疾病的核准藥物後將有助於改善神經元的訊息傳遞，進而提升認知、促進學習與記憶，由此可見，透過調整病人的氣血狀態，對於精神疾病具有一定的正向治療效果。討論：除了透過針灸和藥物調整病人的氣血，進而改善其精神狀態外，依據患者體質和病機特點，給予相應的會談技巧，包括語言和非語言的反應，則能達到「以神治神」的目的。

Objective: This article aims to merge a part of the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) classical literature ＂Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic, chapter eight of the Líng Shū＂ into the modern medical findings, to describe the physiology of the stimuli, sensory, perception, memory system and emotion production; and tries to integrate modern medical viewpoints with the expositions of ＂Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic＂ to fulfill the concepts and the theories in the TCM psychiatric field. Results: ＂Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic, chapter eight of the Líng Shū＂ puts forward the process of mental function, and it also represents the training of ＂intention and will＂ can make our mind more stable. Furthermore, many chapters in the ＂Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic＂ mention that emotions can cause changes the qi and blood in our body, as well as affect the cognitive process. Modern medical research has confirmed that the immune system has a certain influence on the cognitive function and emotional regulation of the brain, and the injection of medication for the treatment of vascular diseases will help improve signal transduction of neuron, thereby enhancing cognition and promoting learning and memory. Therefore, we suggest that it will have a certain positive therapeutic effect on mental illness by adjusting the patient's qi and blood status. Discussion: In addition to adjusting the patient's qi and blood through acupuncture and Chinese herbs, we can improve the patient's mental state according to the patient's constitution by giving corresponding interview skills, including verbal and nonverbal responses.
