Brief Introduction to Mobile Reverse Osmosis Systems Used in Hemodialysis

摘要


依據2014年國際標準組織(International Organization for Standardization, ISO)與美國醫療儀器協進會(Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, AAMI)所制訂的標準,透析用水的總菌落數應低於100 Colony-Forming Unit (CFU)/ml,內毒素含量應低於0.25 Endotoxin Unit (EU)/ml,當總菌落數大於50 CFU/ml或內毒素含量大於0.125 EU/ml時,就須採取相關的措施。因此,血液透析用純水的安全與品質是非常重要的,應該加以規範與管理。移動式逆滲透造水機(Mobile Reverse Osmosis, MRO)純水系統必須是無菌無熱原且無化學物質的污染,每週應至少進行1次純水輸出管路消毒。每月細菌培養1次、每半年內毒素檢測1次、每年透析用純水化學物質檢測1次。

According to the 2014 Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation/International Organization for Standardization (AAMI/ISO) standards, the bacteria levels in water used for hemodialysis shall not exceed 100 Colony-Forming Unit (CFU)/ml, and the endotoxins in the water used for hemodialysis purposes shall not exceed 0.25 Endotoxin Unit (EU)/ml. If the bacteria levels exceed 50 CFU/ml or endotoxins exceed 0.125 EU/ml, action should be taken to address the potential problem. Thus, the safety and quality of the water used for hemodialysis are very important, and should be regulated and managed cautiously. Mobile Reverse Osmosis (MRO) water purification systems must be free from bacteria, pyrogens and chemicals. The circuits of water purification system should be disinfected at least once a week. Bacterial culture of the purified water is suggested to be performed every month, endotoxin testing to be done every 6 months, and the concentration of chemical contaminants to be checked every year.
