A 44-year-old woman with breast cancer underwent partial mastectomy and left axillary lymph node dissection followed by chemotherapy, target therapy and hormone therapy. During the course of Tamoxifen and Letrozole, arthralgia and frequently hot flushes was noted. These symptoms belong to Yi deficiency of liver and kidney, liver stagnation which caused by emotional stress, spleen qi transportation was suppressed, stagnation of phlegm-dampness. The treatment was primarily based on nourishing yin, dispersing stagnated liver qi , regulating spleen qi, and relieving phlegm and dampness. After Chinese Medicine treatment, her discomfort and quality of life have been significantly improved.
