牙周炎細菌之毒力因素

摘要


近十年來,有關(1)微生物引起牙周疾病(2)牙周致病菌之致病能力(3)牙周組織受細菌感染後所引發之宿主反應等牙周病微生物學之研究陸陸續續被提出。目前已知最重要之牙周致病菌有Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans (Aa), Bacteroides 91 ngi valis (8g)以及Bacteroides intermedius (Bi)等。本篇將細菌感染過程分為附著、生長、侵入、組磁破壞等四個階段來討論Aa 、S9、Si等三種細菌之毒力因素在人類牙周疾病之病原興致病因上所扮演的角色,結論顯示一種細菌要引起牙周疾病必須具備有強力之毒力因素方可達成。

During the past decade, considerable information has come forth on the microorganisms involved in destructive periodontal diseases, the pathogenic potential of major periodontopathic bacteria, and the host response to bacterial infections of the periodontium. The important periodontopathogens e.g. A ctinobacillus (Haemophilus) actinomyce, temcomitans, Bacteroides gingiva lis and Bacteroides intermedius have been identified. This article briefly discusses someof the bacterial virulence factors that may play roles in the etiology and pathogenesis of human periodontal diseases. For purposes of discus-sion, infection is presented as four steps: attachment, growth, invasion, and tissue destruction. The inflammatory alterations that are seen in periodontitis are likewise the result of complex and dynamic processes involving the interplay of numerous and destructive effector mechanisms. The cumulative data of this review suggests that the features of periodontitis e.g. tissue destruction and attachment loss are associated with dental plaque bacteria possessing some of the potent virulent factors.
