The hemangioma can occur at any site of the body, but is rarely found in the intranasal region. Histologically, it is divided into 4 types, including capillary, cavernous, arteriovenous and racemose. Among them the capillary and cavernous types are mostly seen. In Oct. 1996, we encountered a 62 y/o female patient who had suffered from epistaxis, nasal obstruction and soreness. CT scan showed a well defined tumor mass in front of left middle turbinate. After endoscopic excision, it was diagnosed as an arteriovenous type hemangioma. She was followed up regularly with out evidence of recurrence until now.
