Hemangioma is the most common congenital anomaly in human. Although half of the hemangiomas occur in the head and neck region, pharyngeal heman-gionma is rare. There have been no more than 30 cases reported in the English liter-ature. A 42-year-old man with pharyngeal hemangioma treated successfully by complete surgical removal is reported. In general, not all of the hemangiomas need aggressive management. However, surgical excision remains the most common treat-ment of choice for respectable dangerous hemangiomas. Careful patient selection, and detailed preoperative evaluation for resectablity are important.
