石蓮(Graptopetalum Paraguayens)之水與甲醇萃取液之抗氧化性與對Streptozotocin(STZ)誘發糖尿病大鼠血糖的影響

摘要


本研究將探討以動物模式驗證石蓮(Graptopetalum Paraguayens)葉體之萃取物對誘發性糖尿病大鼠之血糖是否有改善功效,並以石蓮葉體的水與甲醇萃取液,評量其抗氧化性。結果顯示兩者中,甲醇萃取液有較強抗氧化性,而在為期五週實驗內,顯示連續灌食石蓮葉體水與甲醇萃取物,可逐漸改善誘發性糖尿病大鼠體內血糖的調控,使血糖值逐漸降低,並在葡萄糖耐性試驗,2小時內調降血糖值。

The objective of present work is to identify the functionality of Shi-lan (Graptopetalum Paraguayens) with an in vivo study. A Streptozotocin-induced diabetic animal model is employed to investigate the effect of Graptopetalum Paraguayens for reduction of blood glucose level. By using of water and methanol extraction from Sh-ilan, the antioxidative activities and its effect on blood glucose level in diabetic rats are examined. Data obtained shows that the extract from methanol exhibits a higher antioxidative activity than that from water, and blood glucose level can be reduced by both of two extracts.
