A 52-year-old man was admitted to our hospital due to right lower quadrant and flank pain. Biochemical tests of blood revealed elevated alkaline phosphatase, SGOT, SGPT, sugar (fasting and 2hr PC) and HbA1c. Abdominal echo and CT Scan showed a tumor mass in right lobe of liver and right spinal erector muscle respectively; angiography disclosed 2 more smaller tumors in right lobe of liver inferior to the previous one, all of these 4 tumors were hypervascular. Pathologic findings of the specimen got from the spinal erector muscle tumor confirmed the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma. No more metastatic sites could be found elsewhere.
