新聞報導與真實建構：新聞框架理論的觀點

摘要

有關新聞媒體如何報導真實事件，一直是廣受重視的研究議題。但此類以守門人研究爲主的早期主流典範，在一九八零年逐漸受到各方質疑。挑戰者認爲，傳統新聞學理論受到實務工作影響過深，誇大了新聞媒體在資訊產製過程中的獨大角色，未來應重新審視其他社會組織與新聞媒體的互動關係。 本研究延續此類研究傳統，改以社會建構論爲基礎，討論新聞報導如何在再現社會真實的過程中受到框架影響。在組織層次，本研究指出「新聞常規」、「內部控制」、以及「專業意理」三者是影響新聞媒體選擇與重組社會真實的重要面向。在個人層次，新聞工作者的知識結構不但協助擬定目標，也是選擇素材、專換資訊的重要條件。在文本層次，新聞句法、情節、主題、修辭與字語均是呈現真實的主要途徑；不同新聞文本結構，會展現不同社會真實面向。 本研究因而強調，新聞產製係一項不斷受到特殊條件（框架）影響與制約的社會行動。未來研究可從此一觀點繼續討論其他影響新聞真實的因素，如消息來源框架、議題故事框架、以及讀者認知框架如何與新聞媒體互動，或如何再現社會真實。

The purposes of this study are first to review how the news media were traditionally said by researchers in report of the social reality; and second, to criticize such assertion which says that the media do ”mirror” events in the society; and third, to provide a new and alternative explanation about the relationship between news reporting and news reality by applying the theory of news framing.
Three levels of news frames were introduced in the paper: On the organizational level, news routines, newsroom control, and professionalism were considered as factors which ”frame” the process of news-making. On the personal level, a cognitive interpretation was used as examples to show how news reporters would be heavily influenced by own schemata in reporting. On the textual level, it was also said in the paper that themes, scripts, rhetorics, words arid terms all contribute to the existence of news frames.
