台灣近二十年來校長領導實徵研究與學校效能關係之探討

A Study of Taiwanese School Principal's Leadership and School Effectiveness in the Past 20 Years

摘要


本文的主要目的在於透過文獻探討,分析近二十年來校長領導與學校效能相關實徵研究,探討主要研究結果,提出校長領導對學校效能的影響;剖析各項研究方法,提供後續研究者參考運用。 探討主要研究結果發現:一、校長領導和學校效能之問具有顯著的正相關,且校長領導亦可預測學校效能;二、校長採取「高倡導高關懷」、「高轉型高互易」、「教學領導與課程領導」等領導型式,更能有效提升學校效能;三、並無單一普遍的領導型式可以影響學校效能,校長領導必須衡量不同情境採取不同的領導型式,並須考量相關的脈絡因素。另剖析各項研究方法發現,研究對象著重於學校教育人員,忽略家長與學生;研究方法皆以問卷調查量化分析為主,少有質性深入探討;研究範圍以單一縣市篇數較多;研究觀點偏向轉型領導。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the researches conducted in the area of principa1fi leadership and school effectiveness in the past 20 years. The research methods and results were analyzed; the influence of school principal's leadership styles to the school effectiveness was addressed to provide a reference for those who are interested in this research area. The results regarding to the principal's leadership and school effectiveness were listed as follows: 1 .There was a high correlation between principal's leadership and school effectiveness, and the school effectiveness can be predicted from principal's leadership 2. The leadership styles of ”high structure behavior and high consideration behavior”, ”high transformational leadership and high transactional leadership”, ”instruction leadership and curriculum leadership” can promote school effectiveness. 3. There was no universal leadership style that can influence school effectiveness. Each principal must consider the special situations and contexts in school to decide what leadership style to take. The results regarding to the research methods analysis revealed: 1. The subjects were mainly educational professionals, while parents and students were neglected. 2. The research methods were mainly quantitative surveys, while there were very few qualitative investigations. Most researches were administered in a single county/city with a research perspective of transformational leadershup.
