五十年來的台灣唐代文學研究成果,當然以唐詩的研究最為輝煌。就唐詩研究內容言,較側重專家詩的概括探討;後則逐漸改變用宏觀角度,研究層面約可分:(1)校注、(2)傳記、(3)分期、(4)流變的討論、(5)文本的研究、(6)方法學的研究應用。本文雖分四節敘述:(一)台灣唐詩研究傳承概況簡述;(二)台灣唐詩研究方法之歷史概述;(三)海內外唐詩研究述評;(四)結語。但限於篇幅,僅就台灣唐詩資深學者的研究傳承以及唐詩新方法研究的運用稍作討論,特舉以下九種為例:(1)新批評與唐詩(2)原型說與唐詩(3)語言學與唐詩(4)結構主義與唐詩(5)符號學與唐詩(6)意象統計法與唐詩(7)比較文學與唐詩(8)道家美學與唐詩(9)接受美學與唐詩,結語並對台灣唐詩研究的未來路向稍作申論,以期對台灣的唐詩研究有一概括之認識。
During the past fifty years, the studies of Tang poetry have born the most splendid fruits in the field of Tang literary studies. To a large degree, the focus stays mainly on the discussion of specific poets and their text; meanwhile, more macrocosmic perspectives have been employed and there are six dimensions to research : (1) studies of annotations(2) biographical studies (3) chronological studies (4) stylistic studies (5) textual criticism (6) methodological studies. This article is divided into four parts, including a brief account of the academic tradition of Tang literary studies, the critical history of Tang literary studies, an introduction and critique on the Tang literary studies in Taiwan proper as well as overseas, and a conclusion. However, owing to the limitation of space, the discussion in this article will cover only the academic traditions of some established Taiwanese scholars and the application of new approaches to Tang poetry. The approaches in question are as follows: 1. new criticism 2. archetypal criticism 3. linguistic studies 4. structuralism 5. semiotics 6. statistics of imagery 7. comparative studies 8. Taoist aesthetics 9. reader-oriented theories. In the conclusion, I will point out the ongoing research directions and its feasibility so as to draw a whole picture of Tang literary studies in Taiwan.
