以微生物發酵烏賊軟骨生產化妝品生物活性物質之研究

Production of Bioactive Materials for Cosmetic Utilizations by Submerged Fermentation from Squid Pen

摘要


隨著生活品質的提昇,也伴隨著資源的大量使用以及廢棄物的產生,更造成廢棄物的處理問題。如何減少廢棄物的產生與廢棄物的資源再利用為一重要的課題。臺灣漁業資源豐富,水產廢棄物除了部分有被用來加工成魚粉或蝦蟹殼粉等廉價肥飼料之外,其餘水產廢棄物並未被有效再利用。蝦蟹加工所衍生的固體廢棄物量高達蝦蟹活體重的50%,因其含有豐富的可溶性碳水化合物及蛋白質,係為極具回收再利用之生物資源。若能配合微生物機能進行研發,不但解決了廢棄物的問題,亦可開發出高附加價值產品。本研究利用微生物發酵水產廢棄物烏賊軟骨,進行生產化妝品生物活性物質之相關研究。利用能以烏賊軟骨為唯一碳源之Serratia marcescens TKU011菌株,進行生產生物活性物質相關試驗,並將所生產之生物活性物質應用於化妝保養品之研發為本研究之主要目的。

Recently, much attention has been focused on the utilization of various natural biomaterials, such as chitin, chitosan, and collagen. Because they are derived from materials synthesized by living things, they may show some affinities for human beings and animals and thus will be available for medical and cosmetic materials. In addition, the natural biomaterials can be obtained as low-priced wastes generated especially in the field of food industry.Chitin bioconversion has been proposed as a waste treatment alternative to the disposal of shellfish waste. Some pretreated chitin is used as substrate for microbial chitinase production. To further enhance the utilization of chitin-containing marine crustacean waste, we have recently investigated the bioconversion of shrimp and crabshell powder for bioactive ingredients production.A squid pen-assimilating strain Serratia marcescens TKU011 was cultivated by using squid pen as the sole carbon/nitrogen source. This is a study of the utilization of squid pen wastes by Serratia marcescens TKU011 strain to produce bioactive materials , isolation and purification of bioactive materials from methanol extract and structural identification and cosmetic efficiency and safety investigation of isolate compounds are perform.
