This research examines the effectiveness of Mandarin teachers and middle-level Chinese L2 students by using the knowledge and media of English to teach and learn Chinese pronunciation, respectively. The teacher used English as the medium eight times to exercise minimal pairs, finding that the Chinese pronunciation of the two native Japanese speakers had improved significantly. Finally, we discuss the common language as the transmission of knowledge; the requirements of English as the medium language, and the practical niche of English as the common language, to prove that English can also be used as a medium for transmitting knowledge and becoming a medium to learn Chinese, when taking two Japanese-Mandarin learners' learning processing as an example. This study initially explores the acquisition of Mandarin phonetics, using English as knowledge and medium to compare and use.
