基隆地區文教傳統與崇基書院遺址

本文分兩部分：第一部份介紹基隆地區的文教傳統，第二部分考查崇基書院遺址。書院是地方文教傳統中重要的一環，台灣官設書院中，基隆崇基書院設置最晚，且落成不及三個月台灣即遭割讓，書院被日軍拆除，未能發揮儒學教育功能。但在舉人江呈輝及其門生許梓桑，以及礦業鉅子顏雲年、顏國年兄弟的支持贊助下，詩社林立；民間亦因宗親會輪流舉辦中元祭，保存了傳統文化。至於崇基書院遺址，光復後基隆市政府設有「書院里」，但因日後行政區域屢經變革，遺址早已不在書院里。不但市府紀念之本義落空，市民之記憶亦已模糊。本文經文獻查考、地籍量測與耆老訪談，推測遺址在民國74年自書院里分出的光華里成功國小大禮堂東北角，緊鄰兆連里，甚至包含兆連里的一小部分，北側過鐵道即為文安里。文化局應在遺址立碑，供市民懷念，進而激發地方文教發展。

This paper includes two parts: The first is the introduction to the traditions culture and education in Keelung, the second is textual research of Chung Chi Academy. Among the official colleges in Taiwan, The Keelung Chung Chi Academy set up at the latest. However, less than three months it was founded, Taiwan was ceded, and the Academy was demolished by Japanese army. Thus, it failed to play a role to promote Confucian educational philosophy. But with the collaborative efforts of Jiang Chen-Hui, a successful candidate in the imperial examinations at the provincial level, his protege Xu Zi-Sang and Yen's brothers, who is a mining magnate, poetry societies were set up everywhere. Moreover, due to the alternative hosting of Ghost Festival, the traditional culture has been preserved. Regarding the relic of Chung Chi Academy, the Keelung City Government has set an ＂Academy Lane＂ after Taiwan Restoration. However, owing to the frequent changes of administrative areas, the relic is not in the ＂Academy Lane＂. The original intent to commemorate Chung Chi Academy failed, and people in Keelung have only vague memories of the Academy. Hence, this paper reviewed previous literature and interviewed senior citizens to determine if the Academy was at the northeastern corner of the auditorium at Gung Hua Lane and Cheng Gong elementary school, which is near the Academy Lane. The monument should be erected at the original site for the public to pay homage.
