從Formosa High Lights到《聖三堂訊》－天主教會在臺灣本地化發展的案例－

位於新店大坪林的天主教聖三堂（The Holy Trinity Church）是由波蘭裔美籍聖言會士萬德華神父（Fr. Edward Wojniak, 1909－1983）於1962年創建，1964年正式落成，當時為報導教堂重要工作與活動成果，萬德華神父曾編印英文定期刊物Formosa High Lights。1976年國籍聖言會士楊世豪神父（Aloysius Shihao Yang, 1922－1995）接掌聖三堂，成為該堂第三位主任司鐸，亦曾發行中文定期刊物《聖三堂訊》，持續登載教堂各相關訊息，迄今仍印行不斷。本文實透過Formosa High Lights與《聖三堂訊》兩種刊物，將其編印者、閱讀者、發行背景、刊載內容等部分予以分析說明，藉此觀察天主教聖三堂的歷史發展與演變過程，並可供作天主教會在戰後北臺灣地區本地化的一個實例說明。

Being located in Dapinglin, Xindian District, the Holy Trinity Church was established by Father Edward Wojniak (1909-1983), a Polish-American priest of the Societas Verbi Divini (SVD; literally, the Society of the Divine Word) in 1962. The church was officially completed in 1964. In order to communicate the missionary efforts of the church and its results, Father Wojniak compiled and printed an English-language periodical titled ＂Formosa High Lights.＂ In 1976, Father Aloysius Shihao Yang (1922-1995), a local SVD priest took over as parish priest of Holy Trinity Church, becoming its third parish priest. Father Yang also published a Chinese periodical titled ＂Newsletter of the Holy Trinity Church,＂ which regularly presents church-related information. The Newsletter is still being published today. This study examines the Formosa High Lights and the Newsletter of the Holy Trinity Church by analyzing various aspects such as their compilers, printers, readers, publishing background, and content in order to observe the historical development and evolution of the Holy Trinity Church, in particular the localization efforts of a Catholic church in northern Taiwan after World War II.
