The arithmetic book which is named Licheng Suanjing, is adapted from a famous arithmetic book Sun Tzu Suanjing. This book is an outline of the arithmetic knowledge that can be mastered quickly. In order to make the sentences more fluid and easier to learn, this book has a concise content, and use more four-word and "爲" sentences like the formula. As part of this book, the Ninety-nine multiplication song adds the counting symbol and addition, it enriches the function and practicability of the multiplication song. Licheng Suanjing should be a formula book for beginners to learn basic knowledge of arithmetic in the Tang Dynasty, which solves the needs of beginners to quickly master the arithmetic methods. The arithmetic parts from Chongbian Xiangbei Suijin, Shilin Guangji, and Mingben Dazi Yingyong Suijin which appeared after Song Dynasty, preserves the core content of Licheng Suanjing, and it's also paying attention to simplicity in form, it can be said that it comes down in one continuous line with Licheng Suanjing.
