Solitary circumscribed neuroma is a relatively rare peripheral nerve sheath tumor. The tumor is usually asymptomatic, with a predilection for facial skin and lip. This is often misdiagnosed pathology in the head and neck region. The differential diagnosis from other peripheral nerve sheath tumors counts on immunohistochemical stain. Generally, GFAP stain may be of help to distinguish SCN from other peripheral nerve sheath tumors. Surgical excision is recommended for treating this tumor. We reported a case of solitary circumscribed neuroma at masticatory mucosa of hard palate. The incisional biopsy proved the diagnosis. She was soon admitted for tumor excision and the wound healed well.
