手部體表面積估算公式之建立與驗證

摘要


本研究主要探討Du Bois & Du Bois所建立的手部體表面積(HSA)估算公式之適切性,人的手部體表面積在很多領域的應用上,如燒燙傷處理、工業衛生與中相關醫療等方面均是相當重要的參考指標。而Du Bois & Du Bois的手部體表面積估算公式有簡便易懂,且易於應用的特性,但卻不像Du Bois & Du Bois的全身體表面積估算式一樣常被引用,可能是因爲其量測方法的誤差以及樣本代表性的問題造成精確性不佳所致。爲能有效改善HSA估算公式的精確性,本研究採用一現有之三維人體資料庫(Taiwanese 3D BodyBank),獲得更準確的手掌長、手掌圍以及手部體表面積等尺寸資料,藉以重建手部體表面積估算公式。結果發現本研究所重建的HSA估算公式除了有很高的解釋能力(R^2=95.7%),其估算誤差也較Du Bois & Du Bois所建立的估算公式理想許多,可以更精確的估算HSA。

This study mainly investigated the fitness of Du Bois & Du Bois' formula for estimating hand surface area (HSA). Hand surface area is an important reference in many applications, such as burn treatment, industrial hygiene and medical care and so on. The estimation formula proposed by Du Bois & Du Bois has the features of easy to understand and easy to apply, but was seldom cited as their formula for estimating body surface area. It could be caused by the inaccuracy of the measurement methods and the inadequate representative of the samples. To improve the accuracy of HSA estimation formula, this study applied the more accurate hand length, hand circumference and HSA data acquired from the Taiwanese 3D BodyBank to reconstruct the estimation formula for HSA. The results show that the reconstructed formula has a high explaining power (R^2=95.7%), and the average estimation error is smaller than Du Bois & Du Bois' formula. The formula achieved in this study could estimate the HSA more accurately.
