台灣高速鐵路圖像符號辨識率之研究－以台中高鐵站為例

摘要

本研究旨在探討台灣高速鐵路圖像符號混淆的情形、辨識能力及高辨識率圖像符號具備之特徵。本研究收集高鐵大廳中36個圖像符號，分別依服務功能性與圖像符號特徵類型分爲6類及3類，再對此進行辨識率的分析及混淆圖像的了解。本研究自台中高鐵站取樣100位旅客，經混淆矩陣分析發現31個圖像符號的辨識率符合公共圖形符號標誌，其中5個圖像符號出現混淆。經交叉分析發現，男性、常搭乘私人長途運輸交通工具、一年內搭乘次數五次以上、年齡約20-29歲及擔任軍公教職的旅客對於圖像符號辨識率較高。台灣高鐵圖像符號以圖示符號占比例最多，但內容主題多且複雜易造成低辨識度。高鐵若能針對混淆的圖像符號進行主題與意義上的改善，更能達到圖像符號無國界的溝通。

The purpose of this study is to explore the Taiwan High Speed Railway (THSR) graphical symbols recognition rate and characteristics of high recognition rate. 100 subjects were surveyed at Taichung station. In this study, 36 graphical symbols were collected from the lobby of Taichung railway station. These symbols were classified into 6 types and 3 types according to its functions and characteristics. According to the confusion matrix analysis, 5 kinds of symbols were found to have symmetric confusion. The crosstabulation analysis showed that male between 20 to 29 ages, having more than 5 trips per year of using THSR, serving in teaching and military sectors, and using private vehicles as long distance transportation have high symbols recognition rate. Although icons have the highest percentage among all the THSR graphic symbols, they have the lowest recognition rate. These findings were useful for the THSR to improve its graphical symbols recognition rates.
