摘要

幾近全口無牙或已是全口無牙的患者，活動式覆蓋式義齒，無論以牙根或植體支持，都比傳統全口義齒能獲得較可預期的療效。個案開始是部份缺牙患者，上顎以活動義齒製作，下顎保留雙側犬齒，進行根管治療後，以ERA附連體作為下顎覆蓋式義齒的固位裝置。患者並未定期回診追蹤，口腔清潔不佳導致嚴重牙周病，犬齒必須拔除，其後種植兩支植體，完成下顎植體固位式覆蓋式義齒，保存了齒槽骨，在咀嚼功能及發音，皆獲得滿意的結果。

Nearly edentulous patients and edentulous patients who are provided with removable overdentures (roots or implants) will have more predictable prosthodontic outcomes than those offered conventional dentures. We present a case of partial edentulism treated with removable partial denture in upper arch and root overdenture with ERA attachment over canine teeth in lower arch. Without regular dental checkup, the canine abutments were encrusted with calculus associated with periodontal destruction. After tooth extraction, two implant-retained overdenture was designed for this patient, which provided alveolar bone preservation, better masticatory and phonetic functions.
