Upper canines play an important role on facial esthetic and dental occlusion. When treating upper impaction, we usually need to choose an adequate surgical method to expose impaction, then use light orthodontic force to tract impaction tooth and prevent to hurt roots of adjacent teeth. Herein we report a case of 18-year-old boy whose upper right canine was impacted with odontoma and dentigerous cyst. Surgical exposure by using closed method with placement of an attachment, following by orthodontic traction to bring impacted tooth into normal occlusion. Total treatment time was three years and five months. We obtained stable occlusion and favorable periodontal status.
