摘要

This report presents a rare case of a mandibular first molar with five root canals in a male aged 77 years, as well as a literature review. To avoid missed canal systems and obtain optimal treatment outcomes, clinicians should be aware of the incidence of additional canals in the mandibular first molars and carefully identify aberrant anatomy before and during root canal treatment.
