摘要

最近這幾年來政府十分地積極推動地方文化以促進各個地方經濟再生與其文化保存延續，期望在地方文化的推展過程中，提昇居民的地方認同與凝聚力，使居民致力於地方環境與特色產業的共同創造。地方文化包括自然景觀、特殊農產、古蹟、建築、民俗文化等，它們是地方特有的事務。
本研究第一部份先探討地方文化之意涵，並從地方認同的定義與內容中界定本研究地方認同之意義。
第二部分以高雄縣美濃鎮爲例，探究其地方特色與地方文化發展。
第三部分採用文獻探討、問卷調查的方法，瞭解地方文化之發展與居民地方認同之關係。在經由實際之研究過程後，分析結果發現：
一、美濃鎮居民的地方認同主要受年齡、居住時間而影響。
二、美濃居民對於地方的認同度是很高的，他們認爲美濃是有別於其他地方，且具有獨特性的文化特色。
三、居民對地方的認知愈高，地方認同也愈高，活動的參與意願愈高。
四、地方居民滿意地方文化的推動，且居民認爲需要更完整的管理規劃與提供相關的活動資訊。
總而言之，美濃地區的文化資源與產業特色，具有發展文化產業的潛力；近
幾年來地方文化活動的舉辦，也促成了居民地方認同的增強。

In order to promote local economic revitalization and cultural heritage preservation, the government pushes local culture persistently. Hoping to increase the place identity of the residents, and then inspire the residents to create local featured industries. The local cultural industry includes natural scenery, agricultural products, historical monuments, local architecture, and folk custom, etc…
In the first part, this research investigates the meaning and the policy of local culture, and defines the meaning of place identity in this research.
The second part takes Meinung County as the target area to analyze the local feature and present situation of local culture.
This research employed many study methods including the reviews of literature, surveys.
The third, the research employs questionnaire to explore the relationship between the development of local culture and residents’ place identity. A careful analysis of the process upon completion concludes with the following discoveries:
1. The place identity of the residents is mainly influenced by age, duration of residing in the area.
2. The residents are very high regarding on local identify, they think the Meinung country are more different than other places, and special culture.
3. The more the residents recognize, the more they identify and more willing to participate.
4. The residents are satisfied with the fruit of local culture, but whole organization and information afford should be improved.
In conclusion, with the effort of the Meinung cultural and educational foundation, the cultural resources and the characteristics of the local businesses in the Meinung area have developed the potential of growing its local cultural businesses. In recent years, the promotion of the local cultural activities has improved the self-identification of the local residents.
