福田繁雄平面設計作品中運用圖地反轉之形式研究

摘要


本論文主要針對福田繁雄運用圖地反轉形式的平面設計作品進行研究。在本論文中,研究者將探討福田繁雄之成長背景與其作品之關聯,並從中發現高比例的平面作品皆以圖地反轉為表現形式,塑造出個人強烈的風格。觀其作品,「圖形與圖形的結合」正是福田繁雄運用此形式創作所善用的技巧之一。此外,研究者也針對福田繁雄平面設計作品中,運用錯視手法之圖地反轉形式類別進行深入的探討及分析研究。在本文中,研究者將首度提出結合符號學之理論,對於福田繁雄先生經常使用的符號語言,如:人﹝含全身或局部﹞、動物﹝狗、貓、鳥﹞、植物、與環境等符號進行研究分析,發現他充分發揮人類特有之「發明」與「創造」力,透過作品傳遞生活的態度及積極展現對周遭環境的關心與努力,希望本論文能對現今及未來的平面設計有所助益。

In this study, the styles of the graphic designs by Shigeo Fukuda (1932- 2009) are reported. Effects of the reversible figure and visual illusion on the graphic design are also investigated and discussed. Shigeo Fukuda is a superstar and an influential graphic designer of the modern design industry. There are high percentages of design used reversible figure in his graphic designs. These designs used reversible figure reveal his strong personal style. In all of his design works, the ”ambiguous line” is necessary and these works are called ”ambiguous figures”. In this paper, the studies of Shigeo Fukuda and his graphic designs using semiotics are reported for the first time. He fully displayed the creativity of human, and his works show the concern on the surrounding environment. It is expected that this paper about the reversible figure by Shigeo Fukuda would offer a simple and novel concept for the future graphic design.
