An Inquiry into the Sacred in School Sports Day

摘要


本文以「學校運動會的神聖性探究」為題,內容主要分成兩大部分,首先從個人與社會方面,確立「神聖性」能滿足人類內心深處的靈性需求、賦與世俗世界精神內涵,而免於庸俗化的危機,以及團結群體成員的向心力等正面價值與功能;其次,證成學校運動會統攝教育、運動與節慶的神聖元素,正視運動會的神聖性,能喚醒與會人員精神自律,發展出共有情感與群體認同的凝聚力,實現人文教化與文化薪傳的理想。 運動會是學校年度的重要盛會,也是許多人對學校教育的共同回憶,通過「寓教於樂」的身體活動,讓學校運動會回歸神聖的價值體系,來顯揚深度的人文精神與價值,這是教育人員的職責與努力的方向。

The study aims to explore the sacred in school sports day. There are two parts included. First of all, from the individual and social dimensions, the function and value of the sacred are discussed. Secondly, since school sports day combines the sacred elements in education, sports and festivals, the sacred in school sports days is justified. The school sports day based on the sacred can help the members in schools be aware of their own responsibility, improve relationship between teachers and students and carry out the ideal of education. Manifesting the sacred in school sports day is important, especially in modern times. If we can explore and make use of the holy essence of school sports day deeply, the quality of schooling will be improved at the same time. This is the reason why we should make efforts to bring the holiness of school sports day into our awareness.
