吳錦發小說中的隱喻與轉喻

摘要

在吳錦發小說的相關研究中，大多是以作品中所呈現的社會意義，或是以成長小說的角度進行討論，本文則專以他作品中，所使用的隱喻和轉喻的技巧為分析對象。隱喻和轉喻一般視為修辭的兩種方式，但實也是人類語言使用的兩個基本軸線，透過隱喻－相似性與轉喻－相關性等的作用，進而在言語活動中，達到傳遞概念的目的。這在各類文學作品中也可以看到這種形式所構成的藝術效果，吳錦發的小說作品即是其一。分析吳錦發的小說作品，可以發現他時常使用指涉性強烈的隱喻，透過相似性的設計，表達作品主人公的遭遇；轉喻的使用，使得作品有著強烈的影像性格，更達到情境的鋪陳、性格塑造的作用，可說是多功的。結論也將說明，吳錦發的小說作品，除了其所呈現的社會意義值得重視外，作品中的藝術形式，也是構成閱讀趣味的主要原因，隱喻和轉喻技巧的使用即是其中之一。

Most of the researches of Wu, Jing-Fa's works discuss the social meaning in the works, or view point of Bildungsroman. This paper will discuss the using of metaphor and metonymy in the Wu's novels. Metaphor and metonymy usually belong to two methods of Rhetoric, also are both axises of human language activity. By the effect of metaphor/similarity and metonymy/correlation, achieve the purpose of concept delivery in human language activity. In various types of literature, we will find the artistic effect by metaphor and metonymy. Wu's novels are the examples. Analyzing Wu's novels, we will find he usually used strong referential metaphor, by the designation of similarity to represent the situations of the roles in the works. Metonymy makes the works with strong image character and reaches the effect of plot arrangement and character creation. Metonymy is versatile in Wu's novels. The conclusion will explain besides the social meaning in Wu's novels is worthy to pay attention, the artistic form in the novel is the main reason that makes reading with fun. The usages of metaphor and metonymy skills are the examples.
