This article addressed college student engagement from the theory and praxis dimensions. Various studies have implemented similar surveys for college student engagement in different countries for a long time and the studies also cumulated valuable research results. This article reviewed the related literatures, analyzed student engagement theory, and focused on the factors effected student engagement to provide related information for further study in this topic. This paper suggests using qualitative focus group technique and qualitative questionnaire survey to tackle the issue to fulfill the criteria of rational construct instrument and effective analyze the data. Studying of student engagement can be used to touch the core issue of learning. To improve the learning in campus, we urge more studies to involve in this field in near future.
