"Food and Agricultural Education Act" has passed this year (2022) in Taiwan, which starting a new chapter in the Food and Agricultural Education (hereafter FAE). It symbolized the endeavor and support of whole people for the sustainable development of local agriculture and environment. The purposes of FAE are that students would understand the relationship between agriculture and diet, and put into practice healthy dietary lifestyles, so as to connect with the land and respect life and nature. However, due to various restrictions, urban schools are also facing difficulties in promoting the FAE. Since 2014, our school has developed a long-term, systematic and whole-school approach by referring to the Japanese counterpart and the ABC model of Taiwanese FAE promotion strategies, leading urban children to cultivate the environmental care from dining table to land. Based on the practical experiences, this study puts forward several suggestions for future implementations.
