The main purpose of this study is to explore the personalities of aviators who had the accident or related experiences or behavior before. In all, 903 military pilots had participated in this study. They were asked to answer the aviator personality Questionnaire and some behavior index. According to their self-reported experiences, involving an accident or not, some were identified as the accident prone pilots. Comparing the accident prone ones' personalities with the others', the results had showed that the former held some specific personality patterns. The application of the current results are issued and discussed in order to enhance the aviation safety.
