The purpose of this article is to review and examine the creative transformation of history teaching at Shih Hsin University over the past ten years. The move toward a more practical teaching methodology was guided by two theories: the creative transformation of 林毓生, Professor and New Confucianism, represented by 熊+力. This article summarizes the course planning, methodology, activities, and evaluations procedures of the courses reviewed. When one loves history, it becomes a part of his life. The newer teaching approach makes history come alive for students and guides them to understand historical trends.
