「圍」：新屋范姜觀音寺後住宅規劃設計

摘要

本設計研究擬在一個客家族群居多的地區，即新屋，探討客家族群生活模式與住屋空間使用。設計方法中，以亞歷山大模式語言的結構為基礎，並依據新屋當地環境調查、實地居民觀察與相關案例建構模式。本研究共建立12款「新屋客家住屋模式語言」，並分為以下三大類：1.聚落空間：含建築方位、客家的「圍」、小聚落柵門空間、下午的聊天等；2.居住空間：含節制的陽光、有內有外的廚房、好客大客廳、好客大餐廳、公共的分享空間、大瞑床、呈現太陽律動的天窗等；3.材質運用：紅瓦白牆。這12款模式語言乃為執行設計內容的依據。設計的呈現注重簇群住宅中公共空間的使用；單棟住宅方面則強調屋內公共空間，亦即：客廳、餐廳、廚房與天時坪。主要成果為12款「新屋客家住屋模式語言」與這12款模式語言在設計案中之應用。

This study, a design experiment, investigates the life style and residential space of the Hakka people in Sinwu, a Hakka dominant Taiwanese township. According to the arrangement of C. Alexander’s Pattern Languages (PLs), this study intents to create the local Hakka residential PLs. The fieldwork, on site Hakka people observations and interviews, as well as relating case studies are the foundation of the above mentioned local PLs. Altogether, there are 12 “Sinwu Hakka Dwelling Pattern Languages” established in this study, which can be categorized into 3 groups: 1. about the settlement: including the orientations of buildings, the Hakka “enclosure” (Wei), settlement’s gates, and afternoon chats; 2. about the dwelling space: including restricted sunlight, hybrid kitchen (kitchen with both interior and exterior section), hospitable Hakka living room, hospitable Hakka dining room, public corners for sharing, grand flat bed, and sky lights that show the sun’s movement; 3. about the materials: red-tile-roof and white wall. These 12 Pattern Languages are the basis for implementing the design experiment. While the settlement focuses on the public sharing and chatting spaces, the individual houses focus on the ambience of the family spaces.
The main findings of this study are the 12 “Sinwu Hakka Dwelling Pattern Languages” and their applications in the final design project. Further findings are embedded in this thesis.
