摘要

盲用手杖(白手杖)對於視覺障礙者而言是相當重要且無法被取代的輔具之一。視障者即使使用盲用手杖走在平坦的地面上仍有高度的危險。雖然市面上有不少盲用手杖的設計款式及功能，但視障者使用的依然是最傳統的類型。本研究根據視障者的需求及產品分析，探討目前盲用手杖設計未能滿足實際需求和創新影響盲用手杖普遍性的因素。並以ZMET隱喻抽取技術分析盲用手杖做外觀及功能上的隱喻，探索受測者想法中對此隱喻的感覺和構念。
為了使改良及創新設計後的盲用手杖更能符合視障者使用的需求，本研究提出一款新盲用手杖，其功能及特色包括可調整的手杖長度、LED警示燈、感應偵測並提供危險時的警示聲或震動模式可選擇、可替換式的杖頭。將設計後的新盲用手杖請七位視障者評估使用性，並透過實地測試及焦點團體訪談來蒐集視障者的使用心得及產品效用。其評估結果將以外觀造型及重量、功能性、市場考量、隱喻層次性來作結果探討。期許往後能設計出最適切的盲用手杖產品，以減少視障者在適用上隱藏的危險性，增加安全上的考量。

Blind cane (white cane) for the visually impaired is very important and indispensable aids. There are many creative blind canes with different styles and functions, but the visually impaired often prefer the traditional type. Inquiring the needs of the visually impaired and the product analysis of blind canes on marketplaces, this study defines the design problems. A modified ZMET is used to understand the concept constructs about the appearance and function of the blind cane in order to obtain the design metaphor. Using the metaphor, the study proposes a new type of multifunctional blind cane, whose features includes adjust the length of the cane, LED lights warning, the sensor to detect and danger warning sound or vibrate mode to choose, to replace cane tips. The usability of the design is evaluated by a focus group consisting of seven visually impaired. The test results are divided into appearance and weight, functionality, market considerations, metaphor hierarchy to explore.
